Hi Sylvette,
This is just a way to automatically load new signal files into geopsy as they arecreated. I first wrote this piece of code to use geopsy parallel to an acquisition system like Geode (from Geometrics). The acquisition system is writing to a particular directory. Geopsy on its side regularly checks if new files are available. If so, they are immediately available in Geopsy.
In the dialog box you can set the directory to look at, the frequency of the check in milliseconds, 'delay' is the hold down period while a new signal is loaded. These last two parameters are to be adjusted only if the default ones generate errors or overload your computer.
