Selection of Profiles from a Specified Misfit Range after Inversion Using Dinver
How can I select specified number of profiles between a range of misfit after Inversion using Dinver. Say, I want to select 1000 profiles between a misfit range of 0.1 to 0.5. How can I do that ?

Selection of thousand random profile
gpdcreport run_01.report -gm -n 1000 -m 1.0 | gpprofile -vs > 1000vs.txt
gpdcreport run_01.report -pR 0 -n 1000 -m 1.0 > 1000disp.txt
Will the above two commands provide 1000 random Vs profiles equal to or below a misfit of 1.0 and their corresponding 1000 dispersion curves????

Re: Inversion using dinver
It is also appearing that whenever I am selecting profiles with a max misfit 0.1, 0.15, 0.2 etc., in all cases I am getting a total no of profiles 32,767. But logically no of profiles with Max misfit 0.2 should be higher than no of profiles with a max misfit of 0.1.
I am quite consfused, please help.

Inversion using dinver
I want to select all the dispersion curves/ vs profiles below a particular misfit value after inversion. I am using MSYS. Now when I am exporting results to a .txt file below a max misfit 0.2200 (min misfit= 0.0075), it is appearing the .txt file is unable to store all (nearly 80,000) the dispersion...

Inversion of mean curve with 1 stddev
Respected sir, I am using Dinver for my inversion purpose. I am giving input the mean curve with 1 stddev. While I am loading it as a target dispersion curve, the mean curve showing the exact value after loading but the standard deviation values are getting modified (some cases ~15m/s) after loading...

Hii Sir, whenever I am using the command in MSYS "gpdc test.model -R 2 -min 5 -max 60 > test.disp" It is showing the error "Qt: Untested Windows version 6.2 detected! Cannot open file test.model for reading" I have created one test.model file following the same format mentioned i...

Re: gpdc
Hii Sir. My question is can I compute theoretical dispersion curves with higher modes for an assumed soil profile? In gplivemodel, I can only compute theoretical dispersion curve for fundamental mode and only up to 20Hz frequency. I want to compute theoretical curve up to 60Hz with higher modes. How...

Re: How to save dinver best fitting models as ascii files?
Respected Sir,
I am using dinver and some problem i am facing..
1.Is it possible to save only target dispersion curve as a image format????
2. regarding one matter i am surprised...if misfit increase no. of model decrease??? i am fully confused..
