In Geopsy, several tools are applied on time limits, i.e. on a given time range (also called Global Time Range in Geopsy). In order to specify start and end times, three options for each drop box From and To are available. Additionally, when Time Picks have been defined, they also appear as possible time limits.
For the From entry you can select among .
- this time, i.e. a starting time provided by the user (entries in format xx h xx m xx.xxx s)
- T0, that selects the earliest common start time of all active signals
- during, that selects time duration before end of the signals - either specified with End or this time as explained below.
- TimePick[n] (only if Time Picks exist), that selects the time pick defined by the user.
For the To entry there are the options :
- this time, i.e. a ending time provided by the user (entries in form xx h xx m xx.xxx s)
- End, that selects the latest common ending time of all active signals
- during, that selects time duration from starting time as given above - either specified by this time or T0.
- TimePick[n] (only if Time Picks exist), that selects the time pick defined by the user.
The checkbox Use only the properties of the first signal can also be checked. If checked, the T0, End and TimePick[n] of the first signal are used to define the time limits. This option is not available for each toolbox.
The common use of Time Picks to define time limits is the picking of the first signal with 2 different picks (see Time Picking), select these two Time Picks in the time limits and check Use only the properties of the first signal.
