Subtract Value pop-up window

Subtract Value, reached from the Waveform menu, removes an offset value for the signals in the active signal viewer. By clicking on Subtract Value, a dialog box appears with the following option:

  • Mean Value removes the arithmetic average of the amplitude signal calculated over the whole signal duration.
  • Value allows to specify the value to be subtracted from all samples. It might be either positive of negative.

Warning: the offset may be hidden by the offset correction in the properties of the Graphic viewer (tab Layers, box Values). By contrast with this appearance option, Subtract value creates a new temporary signal displayed in the active viewer.

Note: In Geopsy toolboxes, the mean is automatically removed for all signals and windows.
