Fourier amplitude of a signal before and after whitening.

Whiten, reached from the Waveform menu, whiten the signals in the active signal viewer.

The algorithm used here computes the Fourier transform of the signals and removes the amplitude of each frequency sample, keeping only the phase information. This allows to limit the impact of large amplitude bursts to concentrate on the phase information.

Whiten creates new temporary signals in the active viewer.
