Over sample pop-up window

Oversample, reached from the Waveform menu, interpolates the signals in the active signal viewer by a given factor. By clicking on Over sample, a pop-up window appears asking for the sampling frequency factor, i.e. the ratio between the desired sampling frequency and the current sone.

The processing is done by zero padding in the frequency domain. This interpolation process may be useful to increase the precision in a time picking but it does not provide more information in the signal.

This option cannot be used to decimate the signals, so that the sampling frequency factor must be greater than 1. To decimate signal, use the tool Decimate time.

Oversample creates new temporary signals in the active viewer.
