Spikes present in time series displayed in graphic viewer.

Hey Guys,

When I loaded my SEGY files in geopsy graphic window, some traces look perfectly fine while others have spikes present at the beginning of the time series. However, these time series look normal (i.e. no spikes present) when I checked these time series in matlab or other seismic data viewers. I posted an overall view of the graphic window with spikes and a zoom-in view of one of the traces what has a spike. Could anyone give me some suggestions on what might've caused such problems and how to fix it?

Can you send me one SEGY example? By email or on this forum.

Thanks

Sure! The SEGY file is of 2.5 MB, which is too large to be posted on this forum. I used email address to send you a tar.gz file. Is the email address correct? Thank you very much! :)
