Jacobian matrix or matrix G

Post by Rashed »

Dear Dr.Wathelet

I'm study about inversion of surface waves using linear and non-linear approaches.
In inversion by linear methods (linearized inversion, LI, method) I need to calculate the Jacobian matrix or matrix G of the Rayleigh-wave phase velocity for the layered earth model.
I would like to know is there this possibility in Geopsy software package for calculation of Jacobian matrix/matrix G.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely

Rashed

No this is not possible. The inverse code available in geopsy is not using derivative, but rather stochastic methods.
