HVSR time histories

All geopsy forums are in their very early stage. So a restricted number of forums has been created. If your question does not fit into one of the available categories, post here.

HVSR time histories

Post by luigiV »

Hi Marc,
I would like to represent the HVSR time histories.
Is it possible to do this with Geopsy?

Thanks
Luigi

Not directly. H/V can be computed with a script running geopsy-hv, and results can be plotted externally. I think that there was post about that somewhere on the forum. Try a search with "geopsy-hv".

I found only one post, scrolling the list because the keywords suggested for the search are considered too generic. The post is 207 and your reply (year 2012) was a commitment to implement this utility in the next releases ("Currently not, but it is an option we will certainly implement in a close future")...
Is there a way to calculate the H/V curves at discrete time intervals so that they can be plotted with other software? With geopsy-hv -h I haven't found any way that leads to this result.

Best Regards
Luigi

Hi Luigi,

Here is the post I was referring to:
viewtopic.php?t=504

Effectively, the search engine provided by the forum does not accept a search for "geopsy-hv". You have to go to your favourite search engine and type (DuckDuckGo, google,...):

Code: Select all

site:geopsy.org forum "geopsy-hv"
It restricts the search to geopsy website. The search field at the top of the page does normally that operation, but apparently it does not work any more.

The search field at the top of the page is now fixed. This is was an issue only within the forum.
