Forward modelling
Hi Marc, This may be a brush up of theoretical and practical understanding. If I have 2 clear peaks in the HVSR spectra and I want to forward model using gpsh or gpell, do I account for both peaks as 2 layers above half space in the text file? Or do I use 2 different text files with one layer above ...

Coordinates
Hi Marc,
The files I usually work with are .SAC format arranged in a linear transect. Is there a quick way to add the receiver coordinates (UTM hopefully) into Geopsy system so it recognizes relative receiver locations? I believe coordinates are stored within .SAC files.
Thank you as always,
Leandro

Importing external txt file into figue
Hi Marc,
Is there a way to import external text file to add as a layer into Geopsy graphs?
I have the columns of the text file as amplitude and frequency
Thank you!

Re: HVTFA - ellipticity inversions
Hi Marc, Would this be correct? Upon import, I changed the columns as you have suggested to 'Ellipticity (H/V)' for the mean values and 'H/V stddev (approx)' for the error. I also changed the curve value from 'Singed' to 'Absolute'. The ellipticity I got after inversion is this: Ell.png With ellipti...

Re: HVTFA - ellipticity inversions
Hi Marc, What should be the column designations when importing ellipticity I obtained from the old max2curve if I wanted to use the newer dinver version? I have tried the default but am getting larger misfits as compared to the older version. In the newer version I am getting as high as 10 whereas t...

Geopsy damping
Hi Marc, I have a dataset that we are quite unsure if the peak that we are seeing in the vertical component is of industrial origin. I have been testing this hypothesis using damping toolbox but I am not quite sure of which filter method to use - Butterworth vs Cosine taper. I have tried using a cos...

split signal per hour
Hi Marc,
Would you perhaps have a code that cuts and exports SAC signal per hour?
Thank you!

HVTFA - ellipticity inversions
Hi Marc, Posting here as per your advice. I hope this email finds you well. I have been a Geopsy user for quite some time now but only restricted to HVSR processing. I am now exploring how to invert fundamental mode rayleigh wave ellipticity since I am soon to work on glacial ice thickness estimates...
