Re: fundamental frequency greater than 1 Hz.

When the bedrock/reflector is at small-medium depth it is very likely that it produces an H/V peak with a frequency >1Hz which has non-anthropogenic characteristics verifiable both by the power spectrum and by the application of Ramdondec.

Re: taper window type in H/V computation

Hi Marc, now everything is clear. In fact, after sending my post, I found your answer to Luke on the same topic where you explained that with version 3, to get the same response as version 2, the window type Tukey must be used for the taper. Now, in addition, I learned that with version 2 the button...

taper window type in H/V computation

Hi Marc, while for the smoothing function in H/V computation SESAME guidelines suggest the adoption of the Konno&Ohmachi filter, there is no indication regarding the type of window for the taper (this choice is present only since version 3.0). So far I have used Konno&Ohmachi because the ado...

Re: Stacking of shots

Sorry Marc,
but in my release (3.4.2) under Waveform there is no "add signals" option (only substract signals).

Joint Inversion N/V-DC

Hi Marc,
could the use of the N/V curve in the joint inversion with DC, instead of the H/V one, be an acceptable approach for the suppression of Love waves contribution?

Thanks

objects rotation

Hi Marc,
is it possible to rotate the objects?
For example if in H/V rotate I wanted to put the frequency on the y axis how could I do it?

Thanks

Re: Stacking of shots

Hi Marc,
I want to ask you what are the steps to obtain a sum file in time domain. I tried, but the result is always a graphical window with all files to be stacked in sequence, just like with dragging and dropping.
Thanks

Re: New masw problem with Geopsy releases above 3.0

Hi Marc,
after my post last year, the problem has not arisen again. After Pourya's post and your reply, I've verified that the step count is actually set to 100. If I set it to 1 the Active FK window remains empty.

Re: HVSR time histories

I found only one post, scrolling the list because the keywords suggested for the search are considered too generic. The post is 207 and your reply (year 2012) was a commitment to implement this utility in the next releases ( "Currently not, but it is an option we will certainly implement in a c...

HVSR time histories

Hi Marc,
I would like to represent the HVSR time histories.
Is it possible to do this with Geopsy?

Thanks

Damping and H/V

Hi Marc, In a your work you used damping to prove that the H/V peak was natural. This is interesting because it adds to the "classic" satisfaction of the SESAME parameters to declare naturalness. In the Geopsy documentation there are indications for setting the parameters (size of the wind...

Re: anomalous Standard Deviation

I have tested previous dispersion curves that correctly represented 10% with 0.1 and found that they all now have the anomaly of representing 10% with 1.1. Previously I had recorded that the mean curve automatically provided absurd standard deviation bars, equal to the ones I now obtain by applying ...

Re: anomalous Standard Deviation

Of course,3.4.2, that's why I was surprised both that 0.1, which always worked, was no longer correct, and that 1.1 gave the right result, overnight.

With Geopsy 2.10 to get 10% I have to write 0.001.
