Re: joint inversion Rayleigh and Love

Hi Fabio,

Sorry for the delays... Summer holidays and then I was busy with other topics.
If you try to invert at the same time a Love and a Rayleigh curve, there is a single Vs value for each layer (in all directions, isotropic).
I'm unsure to fully understand your question.

Re: HVSR crash when i click the start botton

Is there a report after the crash?
If so, can you copy the text here?
The bug collection facility is now repaired but it works only with the latest release to be published in a few days (3.5.0).

Did you check the " Tools" preferences? (Menu File/Preferences)
Further details can be found at preferences

Hi,

If you want to set an absolute value to the signal starting time, you can try Set StartTime

Re: Batch processing

Hi, Theoretically speaking, geopsy-fk should be able to do the job. The spectrum is analysed internally and only the picking is output in the .max file (the spectrum won't be available). Note that many shots can be analysed together inside the GUI. Select hundreds of signals (even from various shots...

Re: HVSR crash when i click the start botton

Hi, Launch geopsyland available in the same bin directory as geopsy . It contains the list of the graphical applications distributed with geopsypack in the left panel. On the right panel, there is a light emulation of a Linux bash terminal. Type: geopsy -clear-tools In your crash report, you are run...

Re: fundamental frequency greater than 1 Hz.

Effectively, anthropogenic sources are usually above 1 Hz. There are also natural sources which produce noise above 1 Hz (waves close to a shoreline, wind in a small tree,...). f0 above 1Hz are common for sites with soft and superficial layers. A source can be non-natural (passing cars,...), but at ...

Re: taper window type in H/V computation

Hi Luigi, I did the same comparison between 2.5.0 and 3.5.0-preview that should be similar to 3.4.2. The plot (a) and (b) should be quasi equal. There might be minor differences. To get a strict equivalence, a more in-depth analysis should be conducted. If you look at the individual windows, you can...

Re: A Python assistant code for DinverExt Geopsy 3.3.0

The fresh 3.5.0-preview is okay for the Qt 5.12.12 now, while the HDF5 library still gives errors. I can make the installation done after changing the "-lhdf5_serial" to "-lhdf5" in the "configure-3.5" files of directories: geopsy-fk, geopsy-spac, geopsy-hv, geopsy, vs...

Re: A Python assistant code for DinverExt Geopsy 3.3.0

If you start a fresh compilation from the current 3.5.0-preview, it should support Qt-5.12 without modification (better if you can confirm). There is no need to run a diff -Naur, unless you encounter other issues.

Re: Qt platform plugin not found

Hi, Platform plugins are managed by Qt libraries. geopsy relies on a working Qt set without interfering at this "low" level. If the final Qt path is not the configured install path, this kind of error may occur. Is it possible to add the specific environment settings in user profiles rathe...

Re: A Python assistant code for DinverExt Geopsy 3.3.0

I checked the compatibility with Qt-5.11 (the system version of my Debian 10) with a few new modifications. They are now included and available in 3.5.0-preview.

Re: A Python assistant code for DinverExt Geopsy 3.3.0

Hi Wanbo, Thanks for pointing out the version number issue. At the time branch 3.5 was created the version of dinverext was 1.0.3 but branch 3.4 continues to evolve a bit up to 1.0.5. The merge process between branches was not taking this update into account. This is now fixed, many other packets we...

Re: A Python assistant code for DinverExt Geopsy 3.3.0

I checked dinverext module with your Python code and rms5 provided as an example. If the command is provided as a relative path to the working directory, it does not work (3.4.2). With an absolute path, it works fine for me, is it the same for you? Did you try with a relative or with an absolute pat...
