Re: dinver ellipticity Deg vs H/V

Hi,

I can't see the image. Apparently the attachment is missing. Any idea?

Re: dinver ellipticity Deg vs H/V

Hi,

Can you post a snapshot of your imported curve? Once things are correctly converted to degrees, it is for better than the usual way of plotting ellipticity. In particular for the inversion, the values going to infinite for a null vertical component are difficult to handle.

Best regards,

Marc

Re: Windows command line

Hi, Can you save the results obtained inside the graphical interface? Then, post them here with the .hv and .log files produced by the command line? The first thing to check is the parameter values. They are maybe slightly different. But normally the code is the same for both implementations. Evermo...

Re: FK

Hi,

Max2curve is an obsolete tool left there only for post-processing HVTFA results. The tools to use in geopypack-3.*.* are gphistogram or gpviewmax. With them you won't this error message.

Best regards,

Re: caponTransverse is not on processing list of 3.4.2 release

Hi Luigi,

It looks like the list of 3.4.1. Can you check that the plugin path is not pointing to the previous release?
Start from GeopsyLand:

Code: Select all

$ geopsy -clear-tools
And then restart geopsy normally.

Re: Windows command line

Exactly, all files you provide will be considered as signals to be used exactly like moving signals into a viewer in the graphical interface.

Re: Windows command line

You can skip the option '-db' and just list files. Even for .gpy files you can skip '-db'

Re: problems with gphistogram and RTBF geopsy 3.4.1.

I am attaching the file generated with the "auto" option on a triangular array with 7 stations. Please note that in spac toolbox / rings no ring appears when I activate the "auto" option. Effectively if the ring list is empty, the .target file will be also empty. The automatic definition of rings i...

Re: problems with gphistogram and RTBF geopsy 3.4.1.

i have tried on 3.4.2, but the result is the same: geopsy-fk: Process ended at 2021-08-01 10:15:45 geopsy-fk: Process run in 00:00:37 geopsy-fk: error writing to file 'capontransverse-importedsignals.max geopsy-fk: Error saving results to 'capontransverse-importedsignals.max'. You have to check if ...

Re: problems with gphistogram and RTBF geopsy 3.4.1.

Code: Select all

geopsy-fk -db file.gpy -set PROCESS_TYPE=CaponTransverse
  • Remove the spaces around the "="
  • Insert option "-db" before the database file name
I checked under 3.4.2 that it works even without "-db". Are you already under 3.4.2?

Re: FK passive linear

I tried with geopsypack-2.5.0 but apparently it is not yet working.
You can try with 2.10.1, it available under "Old platforms" (win32) on the download page.

Re: problems with gphistogram and RTBF geopsy 3.4.1.

Release 3.4.2 will be ready for Window within a few minutes. It contains CaponTransverse inside the graphical interface. The command line should work also for Windows (e.g. under GeopsyLand). Why do you wrtie that you cannot under Windows? Is there any error message?

Re: FK passive linear

Hi Luigi, I finally considered your test case again. The current FK engine do not fully support linear arrays for passive experiments like in the past. Re-introducing it can be done under 3.5.0 but not for the next 3.4.2 release. Note also that SPAC technique can be used on such arrays. It is relati...

Re: joint inversion HV-DC all ellipticity curve

For a linear array, K_min and K_max are K_min=2*pi/D_max K_max=2*pi/D_min For 2D arrays, it is more complex, based on the theoretical array response. For K_min. we have to estimate the largest size of the central lobe of the array response in all directions. For K_max, it is a little arbitrary. It i...

Re: Removing Instrumental Response

Hi, The pole and zeros can be entered in the instrumental response GUI box. Export as a .sensor file. These are compressed tar file with an XML format. Here is an example for Lennartz 5 seconds sensors: <InstrumentalResponse> <name>Lennartz 5s</name> <transductionFactor>400</transductionFactor> <nor...
