Re: Ellipticity joint inversion vith DC using Dinver 3.3.0. and following relaeases

Hi Luigi, Sorry this very very late answer. I'm a bit lost with the reference to images in your text. Anyhow, I will comment on each image: dinver.jpg: The ellipticity value are all very low for an ellipticity in degrees. Probably in the parsing filter the type of column was not set properly dinver1...

Re: lack of tools in geopsy 3.2.2 and vars

Hi, "Edit/Set sources" menu has been removed because source is no longer a property of signals. Instead, there is a an event table (close to "Files" and "Groups"). Events are identified by their absolute time and location. In principle, when loading MASW data from a SEG-2 file, a new source is added...

Re: Geopsy 3.2.0 crash w/ 3 component files

Hi Liliana,

Did you try high resolution FK (RTBF) for 3 components or conventional FK? With 3.3.3, only the last one crashes. 3.3.4-preview (accessible for Linux and Mac when compiling from git repository) fixes everything. 3.3.4 will be soon available also for Windows.

Best regards,

Marc

Re: crash of conventional 3C FK in 3.3.3

Hi, I wrote that it will be fixed soon but I had to switch to something else and I left it unfixed. Now things are fine. It is available on branch 3.3 on the git repository. It is not yet merged into branch 3.4. Hence 3.3.4-preview only. Note that conventional FK for 3C can retrieve only the sign of...

Re: crash of conventional 3C FK in 3.3.3

Thanks for your report. I could reproduce all the mentioned errors. They will be fixed for the next release. If you are compiling from sources (Linux and Mac OS), you can switch to git repository (see download page) to get the most up-to-date release under preparation (3.3.4-preview). These fixes wi...

Re: Geopsy (3.3.0-1-2) H/V tool doesn't read the *.log file

Hi Luigi,

Next release 3.3.3 can read your SAF file without error.
The log file is properly read by 3.4.0-preview (only through git) both for restoring time windows and parameter values. This fix was not possible in 3.3.3.

Re: Axes in particle motion plots

Hi Luigi,

The plot is there but very small. If you manually change the size with the properties panel you can recover it.
This issue is fixed in 3.3.3

Re: Axes in particle motion plots

Hi Hema, Thanks for pointing out this issue. The input angle is the horizontal direction counted clockwise from the North axis. The angle reported on the plot is not correct: it is the angle counted counter-clockwise from axis East. Effectively 0 deg. is for NS and 90 deg. for EW. Release 3.3.3 is a...

Re: Geopsy (3.3.0-1-2) H/V tool doesn't read the *.log file

Hi Luigi,

I'm about to produce 3.3.3 that fixes, among other points, reading of log files.
I've just checked an old SAF file (from 2002!) and I can read it correctly. Can you send me an example of SAF file with an invalid starting time in Geopsy?

Best regards,

Marc

Re: Uploading a synthetic data in Geopsy: File cannot be read!

What is the release number you are using? I remember that I fixed a bug during this Summer about the modification of the starting time and the update of the available range. The available range keeps track of eventual gaps inside a trace (a period of time where no processing can take place). Having ...

Re: Geopsy 2.10.1 installation problem

I managed to partially compile Qt 4.8.7 with gcc 6.3, except QtScript module due to errors in Javascript tools. I started the compilation of 2.10.1 and ran into the same errors as reported. There is a missing internal include path. You can fix this by running: ./configure -I /tmp/geopsypack-src-2.10...

Re: Geopsy 2.10.1 installation problem

Hi, This release is not supported any more. Even if you manage to solve the first problem, I'm unsure if you can get to the end without getting other errors. If you really need this old release, the easiest way is to test it under Windows (in a virtual machine). If I can re-install a Qt 4 on my mach...

Re: Ellipticity joint inversion vith DC using Dinver 3.3.0. and following relaeases

Hi Luigi, The first strange thing in your figure is the value of your data curve. Values must be restricted to -90 to 90 deg (or 0 to 90 deg. for absolute value). How did you import the curve into Dinver? 0 deg. corresponds to a null ellipticity, 90 deg. to an infinite ellipticity. If you have a pos...

Re: fk parameter) 'RELATIVE_THRESHOLD (%) = '

Actually I get the identical result with both threshold 10 and 90. Strange, I'll check this feature. You can filter directly from the command line of gphistogram: "-rel-power 0.9", for 90% Can you show us a few lines of your .max file (data part)? I suspect some issues about the storage of the powe...

Re: Uploading a synthetic data in Geopsy: File cannot be read!

Hi, To read a text file (data organized in columns), data must begin from the first line. In your case (sent by email) the first lines are: 48 16384 0.000000e+000 4.858683e-010 ... [total=49 columns] ... -5.356799e-011 1.250000e-004 4.145977e-010 ... [total=49 columns] ... 2.776331e-011 ... [total=1...
